Groove Sundays
November 6, 2007 by VJ Shojo
If it’s Sunday at 7PM SLT, chances are you’ll find me DJing at the Jazz Link Club and Lounge at the MMAC (Multi-Media Arts Center.) Each Sunday night I spin a sexy mix of DownTempo, Trip hop, Lounge, Acid Jazz, Jazz and even some Brazilian and Mambo.
The way I DJ in Second Life is that I put together a two hour playlist for the show on my Mac and put it on my iPod for portability so if a computer goes down I can go to a back-up. So I run one mac as my SL clients so that I can chat and listen to the stream. And I run a program called Nicecast from Rouge Aomeba Software as My broadcasting software. This allows me to playback music from iTunes as well as use my USB headset to do voice-over and DJ banter. The two computer set-up is the optimum way to broadcast into SL because If (read When) you crash out of SL you can still keep broadcasting.
I have a fan group called Groove Mojo Shojo that I encourage you to join and I hope that you will Stop by and join us for some fun conversation, great music and dancing in a lovely SL location. See ya next Sunday.
